Life is unfair. And it’s not fair that life is unfair. (Edward Abbey, 1927 ~ 1989) Yes, there are injustices. Guiltless people are sent to prison. Terrorists make plans to strike at innocent citizens. Facts regarding the poisons in our food are hidden from us. Olympic medals and Academy Awards are presented for political reasons instead of merit. To rise up and fight against these and other forms of inequity is not only proper, but ennobling. We should welcome the chance to make the world a better place for our compatriots and for those who follow us.
In the examples given above UNFAIRNESS is synonymous with INJUSTICE. In the case of injustice, there is always evidence supporting the claim of wrongdoing. However, very often those who complain that the world is unfair are really speaking about personal feelings, not about injustice. That’s because three-quarters of what we see is behind our eyes. That is, it is in our mind. Instead of experiencing the world, we experience what we IMAGINE the world to be. For example, Tom’s boss promotes another person in his department. Why didn’t the boss promote Tom instead of the other person? "It’s so unfair!" complains Tom.
His complaint makes it sound like he’s interested in justice, doesn’t it? But how can someone who seeks undeserved benefits, rewards, or recognition be interested in justice? Samuel Butler (1835-1902) described how Tom, and others like him, interprets fairness, "Justice is my being allowed to do whatever I like. Injustice is whatever prevents my doing so." All too often those bemoaning the unfairness of the world are just whining that they’re not getting their way. They haven’t grown up yet. Their sense of unfairness is irrational because it is based on childish demands and unrealistic expectations. They want to return to the time that they were infants. For then all they had to do was cry (complain) and someone would come and attend to their needs.
If we catch ourselves harbouring unjustified thoughts that the world is unfair, it’s time to change our views. Why? Because such views are unproductive. They are self-defeating. Complaining about not having what I want prevents me from getting what I want. Second, such a dark view of life is unharmonious and disrupts relationships. After all, if I resent and envy the success of others, I will be unable to maintain a warm relationship with them, separating myself even further from success.
So, how do I avoid being sucked into a downward spiral of frustration, envy, and grief? How do I escape the dead-end street of childish demands? Some suggestions follow.
1. Wake up. Whack yourself on the side of your head. Tell yourself, "Hello! The world doesn’t owe me a living. If I am unhappy with my present situation, I have to accept responsibility and start creating the life I wish to live." Instead of looking for someone to blame for your unhappiness, look for solutions. Ask yourself, "What am I doing wrong? What are my options? How can I make myself worthy of what I seek?" Complaining is a dead-end street. Make a U-turn and find your way out by looking for solutions, making a plan, and taking action.
2. Work with not against others. If you have goals and wishes in the workplace, communicate, negotiate, and ask what is necessary to get what you want. Talk about what you want, not about what is ‘fair.’ Don’t forget that ‘fairness’ is subjective, so try to see the other person’s viewpoint. Remember, too, that those you work with also have goals, wishes, and rights. So, be willing to cooperate and compromise. Don’t demand what you want, earn it. Instead of win-lose situations, always look for win-win opportunities. Help others get what they want. That’s accepting responsibility for being a team member. When you help others to succeed, they will do likewise for you.
3. Think with your head not your feelings. Those who succeed, think things through. We make plans and formulate strategies with our brain, not our feelings. If any negative feelings arise, challenge them. Just because the boss scowled at me, I don’t have to jump to the conclusion that he is angry with me. Any number of things can cause him to frown. Negative feelings and the thoughts associated with them can cause me to arrive at false conclusions and experience unnecessary apprehension. While negative emotions such as fear and anger will halt our progress, positive emotions, such as compassion, will pave the way toward success. For example, if a compassionate person sees his boss scowl, without thinking, he will immediately say, "What’s wrong, boss? Is there something I can do to help?" Won’t his compassion transform a negative situation into a positive experience?
4. Count your blessings, not your grievances. How can I take advantage of the opportunities that surround me if I am unaware of them or blind to their presence? Moaners and complainers see nothing but lack. Lack of opportunities, lack of ‘fairness,’ and lack of cooperation. They have never outgrown their childhood concept of ‘fairness.’ They still remember when mommy divided the cookies evenly among the children. Everyone got the same amount. Now that’s fair! Like children, they expect their boss to distribute the payroll evenly, without regard to merit. Once they start counting their blessings instead of their complaints, they’ll begin to make progress.
5. Choose preferences, not demands. Those who remain immature and go through life demanding that the world cater to their every wish, set themselves up for disappointment, frustration, and resentment. Only those who are balanced and realize that things will not always go as they would like can experience peace and happiness. They realize that storms will break, fires will rage, and tragedies will descend. They prefer to avoid disaster if possible. However, if it’s unavoidable they will accept it and, like countless others before them, overcome it and grow stronger because of it

Found a treasure to share with you people!!!!
(work hard, not study hard is smart, become rich)
hello, its mr jengz blog again. this post will be a sad post i guess. not to say really sad its just an advice to everyone. The title i got from abook. Don't know what is the name of the book because i simply grab one in my cousin house. After reading the line then i think it can relate to me. I think the story will be bored for some of you because its all words and no picture. But its from my personal experience so please try to read it even though you think is bored.
So here starts the story. Tan Jeng shiun was born on the 8th of august. When he is small he look so cute!!! :P He's not dumb but just lazy. When he's in primary school, he's shy and dare not make more friends. So everytime he's lazy to do his homework. Everytime last minute only do. OMG! that's a freaking bad habbit. He still keep up the bad Habbit till year after year. So 1 day he decided to try work hard as in do homework and not to do stuff last minute. and BOOM! this surprise his god damn MOTher. HE got the highest in the class. come on man! that;s the way dude. IT s cool he get the fame and everyone treat hhim like a genius. So people please work hard on wtv you doing now. no matter what you do now just work hard on it and try to think things in different angle, this will make a better decision for you.
Study hard is not like you 24hours look into the book. Is like come on man! Majority cant accept information from the books after 4hours of studying. After 4hours of studying you must rest. Do some excercise or walk around. This will make your blood circulation better and your mind will be able to absorb more. Study hard doesn't really help you much, study smart help you all the way. You must know what to study and try to focus more on those important part. Whatever the teacher says is important the make a note of it. Tha's all bout study smart.
Like me now i did not really follow what i said just now end up i have to repeat my foundation. It was a damn sad thing. So i hope the others wont repeat the same mistake like i did because is wasting money and your time. So please study and later only relax.
The moral of this post, Don;t be lazy

NEXT>>>10 tops to study smart and save time From-WWW.LifeHack.org Building an Understanding
Learning is a process similar to building a house. You aren’t fed the complete picture. Limitations on communication prevent the instantaneous transmission of knowledge. Instead you listen to lectures, read textbooks and take painstaking notes to try and comprehend a subject.
You are fed building supplies, bricks, mortar and glass. It is up to you to assemble the building. Unfortunately, most learning strategies fall into two basic types:
Memorization - Instead of building anything you simply stare at each brick for several minutes trying to record its position.
Formulas - This is the equivalent to being blind, fumbling around a new house. You can’t see the building itself but you learn to come up with simple rules to avoid walking into walls. There is nothing particularly wrong with either of these strategies, assuming they aren’t your entire strategy. The human brain isn’t a computer so it can’t memorize infinite sums of knowledge without some form of structure. And formulas no longer work if the questions they are designed to solve change scope.
Learning Holistically
The alternative strategy is to focus on actually using the information you have to build something. This involves linking concepts together and compressing information so it fits in the bigger picture. Here are some ideas to get started:
Metaphor - Metaphors can allow you to quickly organize information by comparing a complex idea to a simple one. When you find relationships between information, come up with analogies to increase your understanding. Compare neurons with waves on a string. Make metaphors comparing parts of a brain with sections of your computer. Use All Your Senses - Abstract ideas are difficult to memorize because they are far removed from our senses. Shift them closer by coming up with vivid pictures, feelings and images that relate information together. When I learned how to do a determinant of a matrix, I remembered the pattern by visualizing my hands moving through the numbers, one adding and one subtracting.
Teach It - Find someone who doesn’t understand the topic and teach it to them. This exercise forces you to organize. Spending five minutes explaining a concept can save you an hour of combined studying for the same effect.
Leave No Islands - When you read through a textbook, every piece of information should connect with something else you have learned. Fast learners do this automatically, but if you leave islands of information, you won’t be able to reach them during a test.
Test Your Mobility - A good way to know you haven’t linked enough is that you can’t move between concepts. Open up a word document and start explaining the subject you are working with. If you can’t jump between sections, referencing one idea to help explain another, you won’t be able to think through the connections during a test.
Find Patterns - Look for patterns in information. Information becomes easier to organize if you can identify broader patterns that are similar across different topics. The way a neuron fires has similarities to “if” statements in programming languages. Build a Large Foundation - Reading lots and having a general understanding of many topics gives you a lot more flexibility in finding patterns and metaphors in new topics. The more you already know, the easier it is to learn.
Don’t Force - I don’t spend much time studying before exams. Forcing information during the last few days is incredibly inefficient. Instead try to slowly interlink ideas as they come to you so studying becomes a quick recap rather than a first attempt at learning.
Build Models - Models are simple concepts that aren’t true by themselves, but are useful for describing abstract ideas. Crystallizing one particular mental image or experience can create a model you can reference when trying to understand. When I was trying to tackle the concept of subspaces, I visualized a blue background with a red plane going through it. This isn’t an entirely accurate representation of what a subspace is, but it created a workable image for future ideas.
Learning is in Your Head - Having beautiful notes and a perfectly highlighted textbook doesn’t matter if you don’t understand the information in it. Your only goal is to understand the information so it will stick with you for assignments, tests and life. Don’t be afraid to get messy when scrawling out ideas on paper and connecting them in your head. Use notes and books as a medium for learning rather than an end result.

S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, was a BRIT Award-winning British pop group created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. The group—consisting of Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Rachel Stevens—rose to fame by starring in their own CBBC television series, Miami 7, in 1999. Over the four years they were together, S Club 7 had four UK number-one singles, one UK number one-album and at least one number-one single in four other countries. Their musical style also changed from the strong 1990s pop sound of their first few singles to a more dance and R&B approach in their final releases.
S Club 7 was managed by Simon Fuller through 19 Entertainment and was signed to Polydor Records. Overall, the group released eleven singles and recorded four studio albums. They won two BRIT Awards and, in 2001, they earned the Record of the Year award. Their television series also lasted four seasons and became popular in 100 different countries where the show was watched by over 90 million viewers.[1]
In 2002, Paul announced he was leaving the band. After he left, the group fought many rumours presuming that they were about to split.[2][3] However, on April 21, 2003, during a live onstage performance, S Club announced that they were to split up.[4]

Ways to Improve English
November 9, 2006 http://sevencastles.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!7C5A2F3DB6C97D9A!9296.entry
Are you the one like many friends of mine, who always ask for the advice on how to improve English? Strategically, as we are in a non-English speaking country, the only way to improve English is to use it. As they say, you either use it or lose it. That is why I insist that the key to improve English is just to stay motivated, keep working on it and keep practicing it. Think of it as a goal you are working towards, and just stay focus, you can do it.
But tactically, as "all roads lead to Rome", I believe there should be many ways to polish your English!
I have been quite crazy for the language. I am not sure if I set a good or bad example for you, as most people could not borrow my experience. You see, I watch English videos and listen to English audios; read English books, magazines and newspapers; surf the Internet in English; speak English and write English – all that really keep me busy every day!
Reading is your easiest way to "feel" English. It is not painful, but helps a lot. There are too many materials for you to read and you must select those you find useful, appropriate and have interest in. Besides printed materials, you can also do Web reading. To write well, one first must read well. When you read, you can highlight the words that you are not familiar with but might be useful for you. Newspapers and magazines are highly recommended for extensive reading, because the things reported are always changing, so you should never get bored of that.
You can learn English quickly by seeing English movies frequently, or watching English television and videos daily. Pick shows that interest you and try to imitate how they pronounce the words. Try to listen to some English songs and sing along with it whenever possible. If you are really poor in English, try to find English movies with subtitles. Karaoke is always fun. When you watch this kind of shows not only your verbal skill will improve but also your understanding skills. The best way, though perhaps not people's most favored, is to watch the TV news, because you can learn about how to discuss current events and talk with others in English.
Internet is a grand English world. So why not going online and "talking" to people in English? Blogging and forum discussion are pretty good ways to practice English and express yourself in a virtual world.
Also, try to find people you can practice English with in the real world. Language is for communication, which is an interactive process. Reading books, watching TV or listening to music only improve your understanding and word choice. Practice makes perfect. The best practice is conversation. You should socialize with those proficient in the language. Many English-speaking foreigners are very friendly so just make conversation wherever there is a chance. The more you speak, the more comfortable and confident you are with English. Of course, you can also take some intensive training through special tutorials, in which some of your doubts would be clarified and you are taught some more.
However, you have to be careful in finding where you "learn" your English. Someone who misleads you by giving wrong guidance would spoil your English learning. You could pick up a lot of bad habits and incorrect grammar from TV or newspapers/magazines that go rather informal sometimes. If you want to get better at English, you should fight against those persistent and chronic habits and get them fixed.
